And the England World Cup Song will be recorded by...

Embrace apparently. The Huddersfield band have been chosen by the FA to record England's official World Cup song - World At Your Feet.

Hopefully it'll be more 'Three Lions' than 'We're On The Ball' or 'On Top of the World' - the last 2 official offerings...

"WE'RE THE ENGLAND" got a rapturous reception at London's 100 Club as part of the 30th Anniversary celebrations of the birth of Punk Rock.
SEX PISTOLS WEBSITE: Just been listening to 'We're The England' this morning. "In Berlin, we're gonna win". I like it!

HISTORY: Just in case you don't know SPIZZENERGI's guitar driven, fizzy, punk, Sci-Fi classic 'Where's Captain Kirk?' was given the status Single Of The Week by music weekly Melody Maker and became the 1st number one of the official Indie chart launched in January 1980, where it stayed for 8 weeks. It also remained in the Indie top 30 for the entire year and was considered by BBC DJ John Peel to be the best Star Trek associated song. Stadium rockers R.E.M. liked 'Where's Captain Kirk?' so much they recorded a version of it to give away to their fan club members as a Xmas gift in 1992.
