D-day for WunderkidTM probably
So, today is the day that we probably/possibly/maybe find out, depending on who you believe, if Rooney will play a part in the World Cup.
England's star forward will be undergoing an MRI scan this morning to see how well that pesky metatarsal has healed. However, according to the Guardian , Rooney is at least 1 month away from playing, regardless of today's decision, which would rule him out of England's group games.
It's also clear that Man United (or is that Sir Alex?) aren't keen for him to travel . Which may have something to do with Mike Stone's departure from the club.
Meanwhile at least his possible replacement Theo Walcott, is the fastest player at Arsenal .
Maybe FIFA could replace penalties with a 100 metre sprint?
